Fine Motor Skills Gross Motor Skills Occupational Therapist School Setting - Jarratt, VA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to students ages 3–18 for the current and upcoming 26/27 school year. This position is available for an immediate start and offers a fulfilling chance to make a direct impact supporting children and youth in their educational journey.

You’ll work with a diverse caseload, helping students develop essential fine and gross motor skills in a supportive academic environment. Collaborate with educators and families to deliver tailored interventions and encourage student independence and participation. This assignment offers a stable weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, allowing you to truly connect and follow each student’s progress throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in Virginia
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
• Skilled in teletherapy, with the ability to adapt services to both in-person and virtual learning needs
• Solid understanding of fine and gross motor skill development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when partnering with teachers, administrators, and parents
• COTAs are not being considered at this time; OT credential required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct OT services, both in-person and via teletherapy, to meet students’ unique goals
• Collect data, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions as necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain clear and timely documentation aligned with school requirements
