School Occupational Therapist - Jersey City, New Jersey

We are seeking two dedicated Occupational Therapists to step in as soon as possible and work through June 2027. This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in the lives of preschool through 8th grade students.

In this role, you’ll benefit from a manageable schedule—working 6.5 hours per day, five days a week. The total caseload consists of 59 students, thoughtfully divided between both therapists to ensure supportive service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience in a school-based OT role, or strong interest in pediatric and school therapy
• Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized OT interventions for students from preschool through 8th grade
• Collaborative and communicative approach when working with teachers, families, and other specialists
• Strong documentation and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions that promote student participation and success within the educational setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s unique needs
• Collaborate closely with educational teams and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure each student’s development is maximized
• Maintain clear, timely records and communicate effectively with parents and staff
