Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or equivalent is required
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility before assignment begins)
- Background in school-based occupational therapy, home health, healthcare or teletherapy settings preferred
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary through high school students
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Energetic, adaptable, and compassionate approach to student service delivery
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 population
- Carry out assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress in educational settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families for integrated care
- Adapt interventions to individual student needs, both in-person and via teletherapy as required
- Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and school teams
