Take your career as an Occupational Therapist to the next level by supporting students in both a Transition Program (ages 18-21) and a Behavioral Academy (K-12), co-located in a collaborative educational environment near Joliet, IL. This contract role offers the chance to make a significant impact by delivering a mix of consultative and direct services for students with various needs.
In this position, you’ll split your time between two supportive programs, working alongside educators and specialists. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting 3-year re-evaluations, participating in annual reviews, and providing occupational therapy services through individual and small group sessions. You’ll have the chance to use your expertise in school-based OT, home health, and teletherapy, tailoring interventions to each student’s unique goals while engaging in multidisciplinary teamwork to support progress and independence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active OTR/L licensure and registration
- School and pediatric OT experience preferred
- Familiarity with home health OT or teletherapy is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with consultative and direct service models
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse team settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative and direct OT services to K-12 and Transition students
- Complete timely 3-year re-evaluations and annual IEP reviews
- Deliver individualized and group interventions promoting student success
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
