Occupational Therapist School Setting - Kannapolis, NC

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in North Carolina
• Prior experience delivering occupational therapy services in an educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
• Familiarity with IEP process and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine student needs and establish baselines
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions within the school setting
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student participation and success
• Assist students in developing the fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills necessary for academic and functional independence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
• Educate staff and caregivers on effective strategies to generalize skills across school and home environments
