Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kansas City, KS

This assignment spans the academic year from August 2026 to May 2027, providing a dynamic environment to collaborate with educators and parents.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT licensure in the state of Kansas (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
• Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapy to a variety of student needs and grade levels
• Commitment to maintaining timely documentation and adhering to IEP requirements

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering occupational therapy services across five elementary campuses
• Conducting assessments to determine student needs and progress
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment strategies supporting educational goals
• Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and parents to optimize student outcomes
• Participating in eligibility, IEP, and planning meetings as required
• Providing consultative support and training to staff as needed
• Maintaining records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
