Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of educational and therapeutic best practices for pediatric populations
  • Familiarity with assessment tools and successful creation of IEP goals
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to travel to multiple school sites within the district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate on IEP development
  • Offer consultation and training to teachers and support staff to aid student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Adapt and modify activities or learning environments to support students’ participation
