Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting student growth as an Occupational Therapist or experienced COTA within a welcoming Houston-area school zone. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with a commitment to 37.5 hours per week from August through May. Enjoy the opportunity to serve students ages 3-21, conducting evaluations, providing targeted OT services, and collaborating at ARDs, all within your assigned zone for manageable commuting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active Texas OT license required
  • COTAs considered if you have demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric environments
  • Strong background in evaluations, IEP documentation, and school-based OT support
  • Comfortable working independently—no direct COTA assistance provided
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload (approximately 70 students, with 30-40 receiving direct services on a rotating schedule)
  • Familiarity with school health software (SHARES, Onward) and proficient with Excel for IEP tracking
  • Reliable, flexible, and ready to adapt within a multi-campus zone

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to IEPs within 6-7 campuses in a designated area
  • Provide consultative and direct services, ensuring goal attainment and compliance
  • Participate in ARD meetings, conduct formal assessments, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Independently manage a rotating caseload and treatment schedule, mindful of service frequency needs
  • Complete all credentialing, including fingerprinting, as required before your start date
