Your expertise will empower students by helping them overcome barriers, develop critical life skills, and thrive both academically and socially. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families as you design and implement individualized interventions within an inclusive educational environment.
Your Background Includes:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) certification for Washington State
- Experience or coursework in school-based OT practice
- Familiarity working with children and adolescents with various disabilities
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assessing students’ needs and developing individualized strategies
- Delivering direct and consultative OT services across K-12 grade levels
- Documenting progress and adapting interventions as needed
- Participating in IEP meetings and supporting student goals
- Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to promote accessibility and inclusion
- Providing guidance and resources to families and caregivers
