Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current license (or eligibility) to practice Occupational Therapy in Washington State
  • Prior experience in educational, pediatric, or school-based OT settings is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students
  • Capacity to adapt and be resourceful in fast-paced school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Collaborate with teachers and support teams to create and execute effective IEPs and intervention plans
  • Provide hands-on, individualized, and group therapy to help students reach their goals
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, progress notes, and detailed records in compliance with regulations
  • Offer guidance and training for staff and families to generalize strategies beyond therapy sessions
  • Engage in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure each student’s needs are addressed holistically
