School Occupational Therapist - Kenosha, Wisconsin

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Wisconsin (or eligibility)
• Previous experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric setting
• Understanding of IDEA and IEP process
• Ability to manage a caseload of 35-45 students efficiently
• Skilled in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills
• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic student support
• Consult with parents/guardians to facilitate carryover of interventions at home
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student success
• Adapt interventions to enhance accessibility, participation, and outcomes for each student
