This full-time role, totaling 35 hours per week, runs from early September to mid-June, with specific training days held in August (dates to be confirmed). Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State (WA OT)
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, with a focus on elementary caseloads
  • Background in occupational therapy within healthcare or home health settings
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans
  • Not open to COTA candidates for this assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for elementary students
  • Design and carry out individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive care
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with all school and state guidelines
  • Provide consultative services and resources to support student success in classroom environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
