Step into a dynamic school environment as a contract Occupational Therapist, supporting a diverse student population ranging from ages 3 to 22 for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity gives you a chance to make a meaningful difference across district-wide sites near Kent, WA. Your expertise will be valued as you engage in hands-on, in-person service delivery, offering therapeutic interventions and collaborating with educators and families to ensure student success.

The role begins August 26, 2026, and runs through June 16, 2027. Get a head start with four orientation days before the school year officially starts, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the district's practices and connect with fellow professionals. Each workday consists of a paid 7.5-hour shift plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • Active Washington state OT license and current WA ESA required
  • Must be present in the United States
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting completed or in process
  • At least one year of school-based occupational therapy experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to in-person services

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a wide range of needs, district-wide
  • Travel between school sites as an itinerant therapist
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain meticulous documentation
