Gross Motor Skills Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist School Setting in La Crosse, VA

This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support students ages 3–18 by collaborating with teachers and families, tailoring occupational therapy services to meet diverse needs, and empowering students to achieve their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active or pending Virginia OT license
• Experience in school settings or pediatrics is preferred
• Proficient in working with fine and gross motor skills, home health, teletherapy, and overall OT best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working alongside special education staff and families to develop individualized therapy plans
• COTAs are not being considered at this time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention strategies for school-based and home health environments
• Work directly with students, addressing fine and gross motor skill development to support educational participation
• Collaborate with educators, administration, and family members to integrate therapeutic interventions into classroom routines
• Document progress, maintain compliance with all relevant policies, and actively participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Leverage experience with teletherapy and healthcare best practices to provide flexible and effective therapy solutions
