Occupational Therapist School Setting in Lacey, WA

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year! You’ll provide direct in-person services across two unique educational settings: a K-12 program serving home school students attending onsite classes (including Montessori), and a dedicated elementary school. This diverse role is perfect for a compassionate professional who enjoys variety and values making a tangible difference day to day.

Enjoy a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week (.8 FTE), with your assignment spanning from August 31 through June 17th. Your experience and enthusiasm will empower students to achieve their highest level of independence, actively participating in classroom activities and school routines.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings
• Strong collaborative skills to partner with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions for students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds
• Comfort traveling between two school sites (within close proximity)

What you’ll do:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans for students, targeting fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
• Deliver targeted interventions within classroom, small group, and 1:1 formats
• Partner with teachers to incorporate OT strategies into daily routines
• Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with families
• Help foster inclusive, supportive learning environments for all students
