School Occupational Therapist | Lacey, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational environment near Lacey, WA for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person role provides the chance to directly impact diverse learners, working 30 hours weekly from August 31 to June 17. You'll engage with students across two unique sites—a K-12 school serving home-schooled students attending on-site classes (including Montessori) and a dedicated elementary campus.

Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will be vital in helping students build confidence, independence, and essential skills for classroom success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State
• Strong, demonstrable experience in a school setting (K-12 and/or early childhood preferred)
• Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus, but not required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to thrive across multiple sites
• Clear and compassionate communication style with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies for learners with diverse abilities and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapy sessions on-site to boost students’ functional and academic participation
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families
• Document progress and maintain thorough records as required by school guidelines
• Support IEP and 504 plan development and implementation
• Engage in occasional meetings or team consultations as needed during standard school hours
