Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students in a supportive educational environment. This position is based near Ladson, SC, providing occupational therapy services in school settings. You’ll primarily serve at College Park Elementary and a nearby secondary location with a light caseload. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through June 4th, 2027, offering a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holds a current and valid SC Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience as an OT in a school setting is preferred
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families
- Effective communicator with both children and adults
- Skilled in documentation, evaluation, and developing intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess and document student needs and progress
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to help students achieve their academic and functional goals
- Collaborate as an integral member of the student support team
- Communicate regularly with guardians, teachers, and school staff regarding student progress
- Travel between two locations as needed (minimal caseload at secondary site)
