Step into a rewarding role supporting students across two school locations, serving grades Preschool through 8th. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start and continues through May 29, providing the chance to make a significant impact within a diverse and dynamic educational setting. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, collaborating with school staff and families to help every student reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure to practice in the state
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred, particularly with Preschool-8th grade
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, goal setting, and documentation
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other service providers
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads, assessments, and timely paperwork
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving academic participation, daily living skills, and motor development
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions in both individual and small group settings
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records in compliance with all school and legal requirements
- Coordinate and communicate progress with teachers, staff, and families
- Adapt activities and materials to support inclusive education and accessibility
