Step into a dynamic school-based setting as an Occupational Therapist serving students from preschool through 8th grade. This rewarding contract opportunity offers an immediate start and continues through the end of May, allowing you to make a real difference during the final stretch of the academic year. Work across two engaging school locations and manage a manageable caseload of around 35 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in California
  • Previous experience in a school environment, preferably with preschool through middle school-aged children
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with teachers, staff, and families
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling across multiple sites
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied needs and dynamic school settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ abilities and create tailored intervention plans
  • Deliver OT sessions individually and in small groups across both school locations
  • Collaborate with educators and family members to integrate recommendations into the classroom and home
  • Monitor student progress, maintain detailed notes, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Provide consultative support to staff, offering guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom accessibility
  • Assist with transition activities and ensure continuity of services up to May 29th
