Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (Washington State or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, accommodations, and educational documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate, patient, and driven to support students’ growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to identify student needs within the educational setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct and consultative services in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one settings
- Engage in ongoing communication with educators, staff, and families regarding student progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation according to school and state requirements
- Facilitate adaptive strategies and recommend assistive devices to maximize students’ participation and independence
