Key Qualifications:

  • Active Washington state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Prior experience working in a school setting strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with adolescent developmental, sensory, and motor needs from upper elementary to high school populations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive student assessments to identify OT needs and develop targeted interventions.
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades 5-12.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other related service providers to integrate OT strategies into the classroom.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and supporting documentation.
  • Track student progress, adjusting intervention plans and goals as needed.
  • Educate staff and families about OT supports and student needs.
