Step into a vital role supporting K–8 students in a welcoming, small charter school environment. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll work with a caseload of approximately 35 children ranging from ages 5–14, addressing a spectrum of academic, behavioral, and related service needs. This flexible contract opportunity involves two days per week, with the possibility of an additional day as required by caseload demands.
Key Qualifications:
- Active OT licensure required; COTA candidates are welcome if appropriate supervision can be provided
- Experience or interest in school-based occupational therapy; familiarity with home health, healthcare, and teletherapy a plus
- Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic interventions for a diverse population
- Prior exposure to or willingness to learn teletherapy or hybrid service delivery models
- Proficiency or willingness to learn documentation using SPED Forms for IEP management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services using a blend of push-in, pull-out, and consult models
- Assess students for areas of need and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated special education team to address IEP goals and student progress
- Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support student success
- Adapt services to both in-person and virtual environments, as needed
