Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity offers a rich blend of experiences, serving two unique school environments: a K-12 program welcoming home school students for classes (including Montessori) and a vibrant elementary campus. You'll provide essential in-person services, helping students develop crucial skills in a supportive educational setting. The position is scheduled for 30 hours per week, starting August 31 and concluding June 17.
Ideal Experience and Skills:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure, with credentials valid for school-based practice
- Previous experience working in school settings, especially with K-12 or elementary populations
- Proficiency in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans and adapting strategies to diverse learning needs
- Comfort working across multiple sites and collaborating with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for empowering students, including those from home school and Montessori backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs and 504 plans
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with district and legal requirements
- Adapt therapy approaches to best fit school routines, resources, and student needs
