Occupational Therapist School Setting in Lakewood, WA

This in-person contract role offers the chance to work across two unique school settings near Lakewood, WA—serving both a K-12 Montessori-inspired environment (including home-schooled students attending specialized classes) and a vibrant elementary school. With a .8 schedule, you’ll enjoy approximately 30 hours each week from August 31 through June 17, supporting students’ growth and success as a school-based Occupational Therapist.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state
• Prior experience in school settings or pediatric OT preferred
• Comfort working with both elementary-aged students and diverse K-12 populations, including home-school communities
• Skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing effective intervention strategies
• Collaborative mindset for partnering with teachers, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to students in accordance with IEPs and established goals
• Conduct assessments and create intervention plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families for student progress and support
• Document sessions, maintain organized records, and monitor progress toward objectives
• Adapt to varying caseload needs between the two unique educational environments
• Attend team meetings and provide consultative guidance to support student development
