Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students in a secondary school setting. This onsite, full-time position runs from now through June 23, 2027, and is based near Lakewood, WA. You’ll be an integral part of a collaborative educational environment, working closely with teachers, families, and administrators to empower students with diverse needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Washington Occupational Therapy license (WA OT License) required
  • Must be fingerprinted through OSPI prior to start
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
  • Comfortable supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Experience or interest in working with grades 6-12 (secondary caseload)
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday (full-time, 37.5 hours weekly)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions to students with various physical, developmental, and sensory needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress in alignment with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to support student learning and well-being
