Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting students in a secondary school setting. This onsite, full-time position runs from now through June 23, 2027, and is based near Lakewood, WA. You’ll be an integral part of a collaborative educational environment, working closely with teachers, families, and administrators to empower students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Washington Occupational Therapy license (WA OT License) required
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI prior to start
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Comfortable supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Experience or interest in working with grades 6-12 (secondary caseload)
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday (full-time, 37.5 hours weekly)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions to students with various physical, developmental, and sensory needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
- Provide supervision and mentorship to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to support student learning and well-being
