Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and school documentation
- Ability to provide direct and consultative OT services to diverse student populations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to fostering student independence and educational participation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities, motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure each student's success
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, adhering to all state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute assessment findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Offer training and resources to educators and parents for continued student support
