Key Qualifications:
- Valid OT or COTA licensure in Pennsylvania
- Experience supporting students in a school-based setting, particularly with MDS or transition-aged youth, preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal planning
- Effective communication skills with students, educators, and families
- Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to eligible students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support students in achieving their transition goals
- Assess students’ strengths and needs, and develop individualized interventions to increase functional independence
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and treatment plans
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to transition planning for MDS students
- Foster a safe, encouraging atmosphere for students to develop essential life skills
