Step into a meaningful opportunity serving students in a supportive educational environment for the upcoming school year. This contract role involves delivering in-person occupational therapy services, working closely with students from August 26th, 2026, through June 9th, 2027. You will collaborate with staff and families to address a range of sensory and fine motor needs while managing a caseload of approximately 50 students. Your expertise and commitment will help empower students to reach their fullest potential during the academic year.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse sensory and fine motor needs
- Familiarity with a mix of in-person, home health, and teletherapy delivery models
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) with school experience are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person OT services in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document student progress in both sensory processing and fine motor skill development
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student growth and participation
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt approaches as caseload needs evolve throughout the school year
This full-time position is structured at 40 hours per week, with the possibility to adjust to a 4-day work week should another OT join the team. The assignment offers a balanced mix of professional challenge and flexibility to fit your lifestyle.
