Qualifications:

  • Active NM state licensure (NMRLD) required.
  • NMPED certification through the NM Department of Education by the start date (process can be expedited).
  • Qualified Occupational Therapists (OT) and COTAs will be considered.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites.
  • Willingness to supervise COTA(s).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but dedicated new grads considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OT services to students of all ages across several campuses.
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs.
  • Maintain communication with staff, families, and educational teams.
  • Supervise COTA(s) and ensure fidelity of care.
  • Complete documentation in compliance with state guidelines.
