The position offers a flexible schedule comprised of two full days providing direct services to students, with an additional half day set aside for meetings and testing. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement strategies that build students’ confidence, independence, and academic success.
Preferred candidates are licensed Occupational Therapists, though those credentialed as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants will also be considered. Service delivery will begin in-person, with possible virtual options by August, aligning with evolving needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware OT license, or eligibility to obtain (COTA applicants considered)
- Experience working with K-6 student populations in an educational setting preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to provide both direct intervention and contribute to assessment and planning
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary-age students
- Fine-tune intervention strategies based on IEPs and student progress
- Attend and participate in meetings and conduct testing as required
- Coordinate with teachers and families for holistic student support
- Document therapy sessions, interventions, and outcomes according to school standards
