Occupational Therapist School Setting in Laurel, DE

Make an impact on K-6 students as an Occupational Therapy professional, providing essential services for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time, contract opportunity near Laurel, DE, designed for those passionate about supporting student growth and success in a school environment. The position involves two full days dedicated to direct student services each week, with an additional half day reserved for meetings and evaluations, offering a balanced and manageable workload.

What you bring:

• Active Delaware OT license; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) will also be considered
• Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or pediatric setting
• Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families
• Comfort with in-person services; willingness to adapt to potential virtual service delivery by August
• Efficient organization for managing documentation, meetings, and a growing caseload

Your key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-6 students based on their IEPs and unique needs
• Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of individualized plans
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to facilitate student progress and goal attainment
• Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as scheduled
• Maintain accurate records and completion of required reports for meetings/testing
