You'll enjoy the flexibility of establishing your own schedule (with building administrator approval) to manage a varying caseload that may involve working across several schools.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active OT or COTA license in Maryland required
  • Previous experience with pediatric populations, particularly students in elementary settings, is preferred
  • Expertise supporting students with high-level autism, significant communication needs, and behavior management is highly valued
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to different school environments
  • Compassionate, innovative, and dedicated to fostering student growth and independence

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and consultative services for elementary-aged students
  • Support students with academic life skills, communication, and behavioral needs using evidence-based strategies
  • Design and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s goals and requirements
  • Document assessments, progress, and recommendations in accordance with school standards
  • Partner closely with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration to promote student success
