Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active OT or COTA license in Maryland required
- Previous experience with pediatric populations, particularly students in elementary settings, is preferred
- Expertise supporting students with high-level autism, significant communication needs, and behavior management is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to different school environments
- Compassionate, innovative, and dedicated to fostering student growth and independence
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and consultative services for elementary-aged students
- Support students with academic life skills, communication, and behavioral needs using evidence-based strategies
- Design and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s goals and requirements
- Document assessments, progress, and recommendations in accordance with school standards
- Partner closely with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration to promote student success
