Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students in a year-round school environment near Laurel, MD! This contract position welcomes both Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), with flexible options for full-time or part-time schedules. Part-time candidates are ideally available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday—still providing a robust 30-hour week.
This role focuses on supporting students by providing make-up sessions and working closely with established schedules. There’s no need to manage your own caseload, as the assignment is designed for efficiency and collaboration. You’ll be leading dynamic push-in groups during Art and Life Skills classes, working directly in an inclusive setting to help students succeed. Wednesdays are special: students have half days, leaving you with dedicated time for documentation, meetings, and catching up—for those seeking full-time hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed/certified as an OT or COTA in Maryland
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to fit into existing schedules
- Comfort with push-in and group interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality therapy sessions as a part of group and make-up services
- Collaborate with teachers and staff during Art and Life Skills classes
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Attend meetings and share insights with the broader educational team
- Participate fully in the onsite interview process to ensure the best fit
