Job Type Contract

Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students in a year-round school environment near Laurel, MD! This contract position welcomes both Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), with flexible options for full-time or part-time schedules. Part-time candidates are ideally available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday—still providing a robust 30-hour week.

This role focuses on supporting students by providing make-up sessions and working closely with established schedules. There’s no need to manage your own caseload, as the assignment is designed for efficiency and collaboration. You’ll be leading dynamic push-in groups during Art and Life Skills classes, working directly in an inclusive setting to help students succeed. Wednesdays are special: students have half days, leaving you with dedicated time for documentation, meetings, and catching up—for those seeking full-time hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed/certified as an OT or COTA in Maryland
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to fit into existing schedules
  • Comfort with push-in and group interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality therapy sessions as a part of group and make-up services
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff during Art and Life Skills classes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
  • Attend meetings and share insights with the broader educational team
  • Participate fully in the onsite interview process to ensure the best fit

Perks include working in a supportive, year-round educational community with an established schedule and the potential for ongoing, permanent placement after the initial 3-month contract.

If you’re ready to bring your expertise and enthusiasm to a role that values collaboration and student growth, we want to hear from you! Apply today to take the first step towards making a meaningful impact.
