Occupational Therapist School Setting in Laurel, MD

The annual salary ranges from $65,500 to $76,000, depending on your experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in Maryland
• Experience in schools, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy settings
• Prior experience with pediatric and adolescent populations, particularly in high school settings
• School-based experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other therapists

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for high school students
• Provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy services within school settings
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations and school policies
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, support teams, and families to support students’ educational and functional goals
• Adapt interventions for virtual/teletherapy if needed
• Attend school-related meetings and participate in IEP development as appropriate
