A rewarding opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services to support PreK-8th grade students in a K-12 educational setting located in Laurinburg, NC. This contract position runs from January 6, 2026, through May 22, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week during the school calendar year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students from PreK through 8th grade, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and academic performance.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust therapeutic interventions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
  • Advocate for student needs to support their inclusion and participation in school activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings, home health, or healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and educational requirements for PreK-8 students.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and familiarity with individualized education programs.

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina – work within a PreK-8 school division of a K-12 district.
