You’ll utilize your expertise in home health, healthcare, and school-based OT to support student success in a dynamic educational setting.
Desired Background & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure)
- Clinical experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with home health or broader healthcare practices as they apply to OT
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Comfort working independently while managing a diverse caseload
- Commitment to ethical, student-centered care
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver therapy sessions within the school environment and coordinate with educational staff
- Document progress and adapt interventions based on student growth
- Provide consultation and resources to parents and teachers to maximize student potential
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT insights to multidisciplinary teams
- Support transition planning and skill development for all assigned grades
