Occupational Therapist School Setting in Lawrence, KS

The contract runs approximately from August 6, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering 35-40 hours per week.

Your expertise will help students thrive in the classroom and beyond. This assignment primarily involves evaluation and implementation of occupational therapy interventions in a school environment, including direct work with students, collaboration with staff, and Medicaid billing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Current CPR certification
• Prior experience within school-based settings is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing in educational contexts is a plus
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to meeting the diverse needs of elementary-aged students

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Deliver occupational therapy services to a varied caseload, primarily elementary students
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage Medicaid billing in compliance with school policies
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ educational goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions regarding student progress
