Occupational Therapist School Setting - Lawrence, MA

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license (or eligibility) in the state
• Experience with elementary school populations preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric assessment tools and individualized education plan (IEP) processes
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students on an elementary caseload
• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop corresponding treatment plans
• Participate in creating and updating IEPs alongside educational staff and families
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, adaptive, and daily living skills
• Maintain detailed records and ensure timely documentation of sessions and progress
• Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and assistive technology as needed
• Collaborate regularly with special education teams, teachers, and families
