Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license (or eligibility) in the state
- Experience with elementary school populations preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric assessment tools and individualized education plan (IEP) processes
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students on an elementary caseload
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and develop corresponding treatment plans
- Participate in creating and updating IEPs alongside educational staff and families
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, adaptive, and daily living skills
- Maintain detailed records and ensure timely documentation of sessions and progress
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and assistive technology as needed
- Collaborate regularly with special education teams, teachers, and families
