Occupational Therapist School Setting - Lenexa, KS

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in a vibrant academic environment. This position involves working across several schools with a diverse caseload of 50-60 students. With the flexibility to create your own daily schedule, you will have the autonomy to determine your daily assignments—typically visiting between 1 and 3 schools, including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. The assignment runs through 5/21/27, offering a long-term, impactful experience.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Kansas (required)
• Previous experience working within a school setting is highly desirable
• Ability to manage a moderate caseload and travel between schools as needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and faculty
• Self-directed with excellent organizational skills to manage scheduling and documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services for students as outlined in their IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans
• Maintain accurate and timely records and progress reports
• Consult and communicate with teachers, support staff, and families regarding student needs and progress
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student support planning
