This contract opportunity provides the chance to work within a supportive district dedicated to providing high-quality services. Two roles are available to serve students on the South End. The assignment will run from August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027, following a full-time schedule aligned with the academic calendar.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maryland
- Previous experience as a school-based OT is preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively within a multidisciplinary educational environment
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet a diverse student caseload
- Completion of all district-required background checks prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and write individualized plans in accordance with IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to elementary, middle, or high school students as assigned
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote student achievement and participation in school activities
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services and progress
- Engage in team meetings and collaborate actively with school personnel for optimal student outcomes
