A contract position is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with schools near Lewiston, ME. You'll play a key role in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT licensure in the state of Maine (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability working with diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students to determine the need for OT services in accordance with IEP/504 plans
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy and consultative services
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow specialists to support student progress and participation
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams
  • Stay current with best practices and attend relevant professional development as needed
