Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Maryland Occupational Therapy license
- Experience providing OT services within school settings is highly preferred
- Strong ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse caseloads
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Genuine passion for enriching the educational journey of children and adolescents
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create targeted intervention strategies for students in need of OT support
- Work in tandem with educators and special services to address students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-care development
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations to support student success
- Support two distinct caseloads at schools on the South End of the county throughout the school year
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards
- Address the unique needs of each student across a variety of classroom and daily functional situations
