Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in an educational setting near Lexington Park, MD! Two full-time Occupational Therapist roles are available, working with school-aged children on the south end of the county for the entire academic year—August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027. You'll collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, making a meaningful difference in students’ abilities and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Maryland (MD OT License required)
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt activities and interventions to a variety of developmental levels and needs
- Excellent organizational skills and documentation practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload in accordance with IEP goals and student needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress and participation in the school environment
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions in both individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation for compliance
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing collaboration
