Occupational Therapist School Setting - Lexington, SC

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students across multiple school sites in a vibrant educational setting near Lexington, SC. This position runs from late July through late May, perfectly aligning with the school calendar and allowing you to impact children from PreK to 12th grade. With a manageable caseload typically ranging from 45 to 50 students and working 37.5 hours per week, you’ll make a meaningful difference in students’ lives while expanding your professional versatility across diverse age groups and needs.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
• Previous experience in school-based OT or with pediatric populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and Special Education services
• Ability to work independently across 2-3 campuses, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students, supporting motor skills, sensory processing, and independence within the school environment
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal requirements
• Travel between 2-3 nearby school sites as scheduled
• Educate and consult with teachers, staff, and families to foster inclusive classroom participation and student success
• Monitor and report progress, adjusting interventions based on student needs

In this position, you’ll earn between $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
