Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri (OTR/L)
- Experience, ideally in a school-based setting, providing OT services to children
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and sensory integration practices
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans for elementary-aged students
- Collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to partner with teachers, families, and other specialists to promote student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals, adapting techniques to optimize participation in the school environment
- Evaluate students using standardized tools and document results clearly for IEP teams and families
- Develop customized strategies and interventions supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care tasks
- Contribute to team meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student progress
- Educate staff on supporting student access and independence within the classroom
- Maintain timely, organized records in compliance with school and legal requirements
