Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current, valid Occupational Therapist license
- Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in assessments, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for pediatric and adolescent populations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Adaptable, resourceful, and committed to delivering high-quality, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students as referred
- Develop and implement individualized intervention and treatment plans based on assessment findings and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in IEPs, collaborating with educators to adapt interventions to the classroom setting
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input as a subject matter expert
- Deliver training and consultation to staff and families regarding strategies and accommodations for classroom success
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all school and federal guidelines
