School Occupational Therapist | Liverpool, New York

Qualifications/Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for New York State
• Experience providing school-based OT services
• Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress monitoring
• Strong skills in documentation and record keeping
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
• Professional, compassionate, and adaptable approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT sessions twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30–3:00 PM) in adherence to the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Conduct monthly OT consultation sessions
• Accurately record student participation, progress, and services provided through detailed service logs
• Prepare regular progress reports as required
• Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, presenting evaluations, observations, and recommendations
• Collaborate closely with teachers, teaching assistants, related service staff, and families to provide strategies and accommodations that best support the student’s success
