Step into a role that supports student success as an Occupational Therapist serving schools in the South Lyon area from September through December, with the opportunity for extension if needed. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Michigan
- Previous experience as a school-based OT or strong clinical skills transferable to a school environment
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Proficiency in documentation, collaboration, and timely reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Dedication to student-centered therapy and supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' functional abilities and contribute to eligibility determinations for services
- Create and deliver tailored OT interventions to address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities within the school context
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into classroom activities and routines
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommendations
- Monitor and document student progress, modifying interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and confidence
