Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California required
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Prior experience or familiarity with OT in educational settings
- Solid understanding of the Special Education process, standardized assessments, and educational terminology
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse caseloads and varying school assignments
Responsibilities:
- Assess and support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in accordance with IEP goals
- Design and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions
- Collaborate closely with education professionals, students, and families
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary teams, contributing expert OT insights
- Manage itinerant assignments efficiently across assigned school campuses
