Middle School Licensed School Occupational Therapist | Long Beach, California

Step into a dynamic role supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school environments for the remainder of the school year through June 2026. This full-time, contract opportunity offers 40 hours per week, allowing you to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of young learners. With a manageable caseload of 49, you’ll be serving three diverse school sites—ensuring that students at all levels receive the occupational therapy services they need to thrive.

Qualifications:

• Active certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Demonstrated school-based experience is essential
• Experience working with elementary, middle, and high school-aged students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
• Ability to organize and manage a multi-site caseload efficiently
• Capable of ensuring compliance with IEPs and special education requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services across elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Evaluate students, develop treatment plans, and document progress effectively
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals in the classroom
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide expertise in student-specific needs
• Travel between three assigned school sites as part of your weekly schedule
• Stay current with best practices, maintaining thorough and up-to-date records
