Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled occupational therapists interested in working with K-12 students in the vibrant San Fernando Valley area, starting in August 2026 and ending in early June 2027. These are full-time, on-site positions within a respected district, serving a student population with diverse needs across various schools. Itinerant assignments may be part of the role, allowing you to connect with multiple campuses and age groups throughout your contract.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Current, active OT license for California
- Previous exposure to occupational therapy within school environments strongly preferred
- Familiarity with educational terminology, standardized assessments, and the special education process
- Confidence in working independently and managing caseloads with limited direct oversight
- Ability to flexibly address varying caseloads, including both elementary and secondary (K-12) students
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to review and align with California Department of Education guidelines for OT/PT services in schools
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a range of students, supporting academic, behavioral, and functional participation
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized tools, and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with educators and special education teams to support student goals
- Document progress and maintain compliance with educational and state protocols
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed for service delivery
