Occupational Therapist School Setting in Los Gatos, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential Occupational Therapy services within a supportive school environment near Los Gatos, CA. This full-time position (8 hours per day) covers three schools, offering both direct and consultative services to a diverse student population. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and other professionals to empower students and help them achieve their highest potential.

Your background in school-based Occupational Therapy will allow you to make a genuine difference, with a current caseload of 22 students receiving direct services and 13 benefiting from consultations. Your expertise will help foster inclusion and improved student outcomes, all within a well-organized and resourceful educational setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility)
• Comprehensive understanding of school-based OT best practices
• Strong skills in assessment, goal development, and progress monitoring
• Previous experience working with students across elementary and middle grade levels preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
• Dedication to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and generate individualized intervention plans
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and generalize skills
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute proactively as a valued team member
• Travel between the assigned schools as part of your daily schedule
