Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential Occupational Therapy services within a supportive school environment near Los Gatos, CA. This full-time position (8 hours per day) covers three schools, offering both direct and consultative services to a diverse student population. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and other professionals to empower students and help them achieve their highest potential.
Your background in school-based Occupational Therapy will allow you to make a genuine difference, with a current caseload of 22 students receiving direct services and 13 benefiting from consultations. Your expertise will help foster inclusion and improved student outcomes, all within a well-organized and resourceful educational setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility)
- Comprehensive understanding of school-based OT best practices
- Strong skills in assessment, goal development, and progress monitoring
- Previous experience working with students across elementary and middle grade levels preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites
- Dedication to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and generate individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and generalize skills
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute proactively as a valued team member
- Travel between the assigned schools as part of your daily schedule
