This is a full-time, contract opportunity where you’ll have the chance to support students across three schools, providing both direct services and consultative guidance to empower staff and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations
- Strong ability to manage a caseload that includes both direct therapy (22 students) and consultation (13 students/families)
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students, ensuring goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are met
- Consult with teachers, parents, and educational staff to adapt curriculum and develop strategies that foster student success
- Conduct evaluations, collect data, and maintain thorough records in compliance with special education requirements
- Contribute to team meetings and provide ongoing support and recommendations for accommodations or assistive technology
- Adapt to evolving caseload needs and adjust service delivery models as appropriate
