This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to work part-time with TK-5th grade students during the 2026-2027 academic year. Enjoy a consistent schedule of two mornings a week, with approximately eight hours total (around 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day).
In this important role, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational specialists to deliver impactful therapy that helps students overcome challenges and thrive in the classroom.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy, preferably with TK-5th grade students
- Strong skills in assessment, individualized intervention planning, and progress monitoring
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student and program needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on supporting access to the general education curriculum
- Provide direct therapy services and consult with educational teams
- Track student progress and document sessions in compliance with school and district requirements
- Advise on classroom accommodations and modifications to support inclusion and participation
