Occupational Therapist School Setting in Los Lunas, NM

As part of this position, you'll work a consistent 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Your expertise will be utilized across grade levels, specifically focusing on students in grades 10-12 and PreK-6th. This role offers a rewarding challenge for passionate Occupational Therapists interested in both school and healthcare settings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of New Mexico.
• Experience in pediatric and/or adolescent Occupational Therapy, ideally in school settings.
• Comfortable working with both high school and younger children.
• Knowledge of home health occupational therapy practices is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strong documentation and time-management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to assigned students across elementary and high school populations.
• Evaluate students to determine individualized therapy needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate actively with teachers, families, and other educational staff to support student goals.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP and team meetings.
• Educate school personnel and families on strategies to maximize student success in both school and home environments.
